Traces of drawings (June 16th, 2019 - on going)

Art Historian Dr. Yasmine Nachabe Taan curated Nabu's second show: Traces of Drawings. The exhibition encompasses works of 35 Lebanese artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. It is one of the first exhibitions in Lebanon to cover such a wide historical overview: from pioneer Daoud Corm's anatomical representations from 19th century, to illustrated war diaries by Greta Naufal. It provides an insight into the evolution drawing on a technical but also conceptual level throughout the century, and how the nature of this practice evolved from study sketches to independent finished work.
